Pet Friendly Rooms in Gandia
Pet Friendly Rooms in Gandia: A Haven for Our Furry Friends
At Villa Florencia Casa Rural, nestled in the beautiful countryside just outside of Gandia, we’ve always prided ourselves on offering a warm and welcoming environment to all of our guests. But one thing that truly sets us apart is our commitment to providing pet-friendly accommodation for our visitors, human and animal alike. Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting a variety of furry guests, from large, energetic dogs to small, delicate companions, and each visit brings new and delightful memories.
Our rural setting, just a short drive from the bustling town of Gandia and its famous beaches, provides the perfect backdrop for a peaceful retreat, away from the noise and stress of everyday life. Here, both owners and pets can unwind, surrounded by nature, and our spacious grounds and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal escape for those traveling with their four-legged friends.
This past year, we’ve had some truly memorable canine visitors. Let me introduce you to a few of our standout guests—dogs who have not only filled our rooms with joy but have also left lasting paw prints on our hearts.
Rocky: A Chihuahua on a Big Adventure
One of our smallest yet most spirited visitors this year was Rocky, a miniature Chihuahua hailing all the way from the Canary Islands. This tiny yet mighty fellow was on quite the grand adventure, en route back home to Germany with his family. Despite his size, Rocky had a huge personality that filled the room with his infectious energy. His owners were taking the scenic route back to Germany, choosing to spend a few days at Villa Florencia, and we were thrilled to welcome them.
Rocky was a reminder that even the smallest dogs need space to roam, play, and feel at home. Our grounds, while perfect for long walks with larger dogs, also cater to the needs of smaller breeds like Rocky, who loved exploring the garden. He was fascinated by the rustling leaves, the scent of lavender, and the peaceful surroundings. His favorite spot quickly became the sunny corner of our terrace, where he could stretch out and soak up the warmth of the Spanish sun. We loved seeing Rocky’s excitement every time he was let loose to explore, always keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings.
For travelers like Rocky’s family, who are on longer journeys across countries, finding a pet-friendly place to stop is essential. Our location, just outside Gandia, offers easy access to both the mountains and the coast, making it an ideal resting place. And for dogs like Rocky, it’s a safe and peaceful space to take a break, get some exercise, and recharge for the next leg of their journey.
Lola and Yappy: A Dynamic Duo from Madrid
Another unforgettable visit came from two very different dogs who traveled all the way from Madrid with their owners. Lola, a dignified and strong German Shepherd, arrived with Yappy, her much smaller but equally spirited companion—a Bichon Frisé. The contrast between the two dogs was delightful; while Lola was calm and composed, Yappy lived up to his name with an energetic, joyful personality that kept everyone entertained.
Lola and Yappy made quite the pair, and we were overjoyed to watch them make the most of our wide-open spaces. Lola, with her sleek coat and sharp eyes, loved patrolling the grounds. She seemed to take great pride in exploring the property, her tail high as she made sure everything was in order. Yappy, on the other hand, was the social butterfly, eager to meet everyone and every dog. Despite his small size, he kept up with Lola during their walks, hopping around like a little ball of fur, darting in and out of bushes and flowers.
Their owners mentioned how relieved they were to find an accommodation like ours, where both their dogs could feel at home. Many pet owners worry about leaving their pets behind in kennels or unknown places, but here at Villa Florencia, we make it a point to ensure that every dog is as comfortable as possible. For Lola and Yappy’s owners, knowing their pets were in a safe, welcoming environment made their stay all the more relaxing. They enjoyed peaceful walks in the countryside, visiting the nearby beaches, and soaking up the rural beauty of the area, all while knowing their dogs were having the time of their lives.
Roma: The Cat-Loving Collie
Not all dogs who visit us are only interested in their fellow canines. Roma, a sweet and playful Collie from Madrid, had a different agenda when she came to stay with us—she was keen to meet our resident cats! While some dogs have a bit of an uneasy relationship with cats, Roma was simply curious and gentle. From the moment she arrived, we could tell she had a soft spot for felines. She would watch the cats from a distance, wagging her tail and tilting her head as they gracefully wandered around the property.
Our cats, naturally independent and cautious, weren’t too sure of Roma at first. But over the course of her stay, they warmed up to her. It was heartwarming to see how patient Roma was, never pushing too far, always respecting their space. By the end of her visit, one of our cats had even ventured close enough to sniff her, a quiet acknowledgment of peace between species.
Roma’s visit was a reminder that dogs, no matter how energetic or excitable, can adapt to new environments with patience and love. Her family told us how important it was for them to find a place where Roma could feel relaxed and at ease, even around other animals. Villa Florencia, with its tranquil setting and plenty of space for both dogs and cats to coexist peacefully, proved to be the perfect place for Roma’s holiday. It was such a joy to see her happily exploring the grounds, and we look forward to welcoming her back in the future.
Ella: A Familiar Face
Some of our pet guests become more like family over time, and that’s certainly the case with Ella, a Spanish Water Dog who has been visiting Villa Florencia with her owners for the past five years. Every year, we look forward to Ella’s return, knowing that she’ll fit right back into the flow of things as if she never left.
Ella is a water-loving dog, true to her breed, and her favorite part of staying here is always the trip to the beach. Gandia’s pet-friendly beaches are perfect for dogs like Ella, who love to splash in the waves and dig in the sand. Watching her bound into the water, full of life and energy, is always a highlight of our summer. Back at Villa Florencia, Ella enjoys the quieter moments too, lounging in the garden or napping in the shade of the olive trees.
Her owners, who have become dear friends of ours over the years, tell us that Villa Florencia has become their go-to spot for an annual escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. They appreciate the peaceful surroundings, the fresh air, and, of course, the fact that Ella is welcomed with open arms every time they visit. Knowing that their dog is as happy and comfortable here as they are makes their stay even more special.

Our rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for dogs to relax after a day of exploring. The grounds are perfect for long walks, games of fetch, or simply lounging in the sunshine. And for those dogs who need a little more adventure, the nearby countryside and beaches offer endless opportunities for exploration.
One of the things we love most about running Villa Florencia is seeing the joy on both our human and animal guests’ faces. Whether it’s a tiny Chihuahua like Rocky enjoying a quiet moment on the terrace, a dynamic duo like Lola and Yappy racing around the garden, or a gentle Collie like Roma making new friends with our cats, every visit is unique and special.
We also know that traveling with pets can sometimes be stressful, especially when it comes to finding suitable accommodation. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to provide a space where pets and their owners can truly relax and feel at home.
